To generate enthusiasm and practical knowledge by offering many opportunities for students to perform hands-on, learning activities. The programs will range from one-day workshops teaching basic biotechnology lab skills weekend workshops, week-long summer camps for junior high and senior high students, mini-research projects for high school and college students, to three-week lab series at high schools. These programs will complement the curriculum taught in the school science courses and challenge students to think, investigate, and solve problems. We will also provide professional development workshops for teachers and help college students find internship opportunities.
We are excited to present resources relating to biotechnology education in Orange County, California. Our goal is to encourage students to explore science career options, especially those related to biotechnology.
